“One of the requirements we were looking for was a holistic approach to our designs. We found the process enjoyable and the results are more than we dreamed of. Ronny made sure that we were happy with every part of the process. He provided the best knowledge in areas of design, sustainability and materials. We will definitely use again for our next project.” Claudia.C. – Client, Gold Coast
Holistic means encompassing the whole of a thing, and not just the part. As for holistic design, it goes beyond problem solving to incorporate all aspects of the ecosystem that a particular product is used in. It is focused on aesthetics, sustainability, spirituality and other aspects and most commonly employed in architecture, but can be adapted to any form of product or service design.
A design sprint is a time-constrained process for answering critical project questions through design, prototyping and testing ideas with clients. The process aligns and bonds designer and client. It helps to clearly define goals, validating assumptions and deciding on a way forward before starting development. The overall goal of each sprint is to reduce risk, delivering working products and processes as quickly as possible without huge initial investment.
Placemaking describes the process by which a space or area is given a unique and attractive character. It is a call for a greater consideration of an individual’s experience of the built environment. In order to understand and fulfill bespoke and individual needs, it is created either through close collaboration or left entirely to the future user to implement themselves.
